With approximately 3000 employees, the Switch Division operates five plants in India and two overseas plants in Indonesia and Vietnam. The products are manufactured out of different locations across India viz. Manesar, Pune, Hosur, Aurangabad and Pantnagar, catering to many 2 Wheeler Domestic OEM customers like Honda, Bajaj, TVS, Yamaha, Royal Enfield, Suzuki, Piaggio, Mahindra Two Wheeler etc and 2 Wheeler International customers like Honda Japan, BMW, Motoguzzi, KTM, Aprilia, Piaggio Italy, Polaris USA, Kawasaki and preferred suppliers to Japanese OEM’s in ASEAN region. Off Highway & other customers includes JCB, Mahindra, Escorts, Tafe, International Tractor, New Holland, Eicher, Tata, Honda Power Products etc.
Possessing 102 Patents and 110 Design Registrations as on Sep’16 and Design office in Japan, the Switch Division produces the widest range of two wheeler switches, meeting highest global quality and performance standards.
The division has product lines dedicated to different OEMs. Processes like poke-yoke have been deployed to ensure that defect-free products are manufactured at the first go. It also has fully integrated and NABL certified in-house testing and validation set up; and complete environment, performance and reliability testing for all product lines.
The division has also a focused OFF – HIGHWAY SWITCHES VERTICAL catering to all major OEM’s in India with exports to US & European Market. Backed by strong R & D capabilities, a new range of patented Rocker Switches, Keypads, Illuminated Column Switches are being introduced with special focus on exports. Fully integrated setup for Design, Development, Simulation, Prototyping, state of the art certified validation, reliability labs and poka-yoke enabled manufacturing processes ensures global standard of quality & reliability.
